I love all of Shed’s records so far, Well Done My Son included. On “Well Done (030 Edit)” a house beat gains bass, strings, and samples. This track screams Detroit. The “033472 Edit” on the B-side is even better. It’s built with bass drum and synth pulses. Gradually a drone comes in like an air raid siren. It’s a swift, killer track. Shed has a way of breaking techno down to its purest roots. While there’s been a wave of retro records lately, Shed truly stands out. It’s good to see he’s finally getting U.S. distribution.
